At a time when unprecedented marine heat waves warm 40 percent of the oceans, and much life at sea is endangered, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ����vlog����Ƶ is proud to recognize two distinguished women for their leadership negotiating the world����vlog����Ƶ�s first legal agreement to safeguard marine biodiversity.

Jennifer Holmes, Ph.D. has been appointed the first ever dean of ����vlog����Ƶ����vlog����Ƶ�s Sands College of Performing Arts. She has most recently served as executive director of the college since it launched in the fall of 2023 and as executive director of the Pace School of Performing Arts (PPA) since November 2021.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ����vlog����Ƶ is pleased to announce that Amelia Wilson has joined its faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Law and Director of the Immigration Justice Clinic (����vlog����Ƶ�IJC����vlog����Ƶ�). In her role as Director of the IJC, Professor Wilson will also assume clinical teaching responsibilities.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ����vlog����Ƶ joined leadership from White Plains Hospital to recognize 12 hospital employees as graduates of the Law School����vlog����Ƶ�s inaugural Health Law and Policy Certificate for health professionals.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ����vlog����Ƶ is pleased to announce the creation of the Vanessa Merton Immigration Justice Fellowship, a key component of the school����vlog����Ƶ�s Immigration Justice Clinic focused on ensuring the legal system����vlog����Ƶ�s just treatment of immigrants in the Hudson Valley and local New York Metropolitan region. Barbara Sarmiento, a 2024 graduate of Haub Law, has been selected to serve as the program����vlog����Ƶ�s inaugural fellow beginning this fall.

Together with members of the Westchester County Board of Legislators, Westchester County Executive George Latimer signed the Safety Measures for Survivors of Domestic Violence Act. The Act is part of an ongoing effort to protect victims and survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. In part, the Act will provide free lock changes and the installation of a video doorbell at a domestic violence survivor����vlog����Ƶ�s home.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ����vlog����Ƶ is proud to announce that Dean Horace E. Anderson Jr. was named to the ����vlog����Ƶ�2024 Trailblazers in Education����vlog����Ƶ� list published by City & State New York magazine. The list recognizes ����vlog����Ƶ�100 professionals who are keeping New York at the fast-paced forefront of higher education" and includes presidents, professors and provosts, lobbyists, lawyers, nonprofit entrepreneurs, advocates, and others who are shaping the future of education.

During a special event at the American Museum of Natural History, ����vlog����Ƶ recognized five outstanding community and business leaders, and alumni at . Celebrating ����vlog����Ƶ����vlog����Ƶ�s role as a national leader in providing a college education with strong return on investment, the annual event brings the University community together to support student scholarships and special initiatives.

����vlog����Ƶ����vlog����Ƶ�s Board of Trustees announced the election of a new member, Dov Horowitz '05 (Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems), a distinguished alumnus and IT leader.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ����vlog����Ƶ will bestow the 2024 Robert S. Tucker Prize for Prosecutorial Excellence on Bridget G. Brennan, New York City����vlog����Ƶ�s Special Narcotics Prosecutor, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of criminal prosecution and excellence in prosecutorial practice.
